Been busy in the shop this week creating a few sketches and working on our church project. When a customer calls and wants a window I look at the space and we discuss ideas and then I draw a sketch. I only hand draw patterns, because I do not own a huge copier : } When cutting glass, I do not use a  bandsaw or any kind of high tech gadgets to cut the glass or inside cuts. I am more of an old school glass chic. I only draw what I can cut. I appreciate glass for what it is and I do not like to try to make it act as if it were some other kind of material. The sketches I have created this week are for a new customer. She has two spaces to fill and suggested a couple of different ideas for the space. I took her information and these are the patterns I came up with. From here, I will send her the pictures and she can make suggestions or changes and we will go from there. I enjoy building windows like these.

The progress on our church window is going well. Have the cartoon for the top window complete…glass numbered. From here I will recut the broken or missing pieces and lay the window out to prepare to build.
